We as a group are just PEC members who don’t like what we see going on and would like to make some changes. There are about 20 folks who make up the central group. Most of us know one or more of the members who tried to get on the ballot in 2007, or know the original plaintiff in the lawsuit.
Small groups of these members have gone before the PEC nominating committee to try and get new Board members nominated and have presented suggestions to the PEC Board for reforming and updating their by-laws. The Board has not been responsive, so we must continue to reach out to other members (and the media) and to seek more transparency.
Funding? There is none. There’s no formal organization as yet, no mailing address, no bank account. The domain name was purchased by one of the group so we’d have somewhere to park our information. GreenBuilder.com is donating the web space. If a lot of bumperstickers sell there might be enough money to pay for the website. Someone offered to donate money to the effort recently, but we have no mechanism in place for that yet.
A number of those originally involved signed on the complaint letter to the Attorney General’s office, available elsewhere on this site. Our numbers are growing as word of our work spreads.
