[Watchdogs] Board Replacement strategy, conserve power.

Dear Alfred: Cutting back on energy use is an all-around good idea. I have calculated you electric bill: 250 KWH X 10.67 cents per KWH = $26.68
add the fixed meter charge $20.00
                                                          Total should be about $46.68
Your ave. cost per KWH is 18.7 cents per kwh.
Compare that to my last bill, I paid 11.4 cents per kwh. You paid 64% more per KWH than I did.
I have asked PEC to eliminate the $20.00 meter fee for small users like your self. So far, no reply. Your suggestion that we all use 10% less is a fine idea except that a COOP can and will raise the kwh rate on us to keep themselves in the "Diamond Jim" style that they are accustomed to. They raised the rate twice in 2008 and I fear that another raise will come soon.
You are correct in that saving at least 10% is a fine idea. The PEC Coop automatically increases the net cost per KWH to pay for their overblown overhead costs.

You might like to drop into one of PEC Electrical Offices near you and check my figures. Best Regards, Paul Langston 830-598-1322

One sure way to get the attention of the board is to cut back on energy use. This is a mild winter, try to cut back at least 10% of electric usage. There is no need to run electric heaters with daytime temps in the 70's.

Last month I cut usage down to 250 KW, this month I expect to use about 300 KW or less. Members can show their contempt for this rotten Board leadership by cutting the funds they have to work with and asking for another cut in their pay!
