Gee, here's another endorsement for Clement, Landaker and Cox. I wonder what the hidden agenda of this group (another "special interest group") might be. Maybe, as with the other groups who have endorsed this fine slate of responsible candidates, their only concern is GOOD GOVERNANCE.

            Greetings,

REALTORS® know that quality of life issues are paramount to property owners and prospective property owners. Issues such as transportation infrastructure, water and the availability of reliable and affordable energy are vital aspects when a person is making a decision to buy a home in a community.

As a member of the Perdenales Electric Cooperative, you are well aware of the Coop’s storied history of extensive financial mismanagement by PEC officials, resulting in a pending criminal investigation on the Coop. As the country’s largest electric cooperative with half a billion dollars in annual revenue, this has meant millions of dollars in excessive costs to you and the other 220,000 consumer/owners serviced by the Coop.

That’s why it’s critical that you as a member of the Coop take charge by voting in the 2009 PEC Board of Directors Election and ensure that board members are elected who will make sure that fiscal improprieties are a thing of the past and who believe that the #1 job of the Coop is to provide reliable energy at the lowest possible cost to you.

That’s why the Texas Association of REALTORS® encourages you to vote for Christi Clement for District 1, REALTOR® Larry Landaker for District 6 and Patrick Cox in District 7.

There are several ways to vote. Members may vote online, through the mail, or in person at the PEC’s annual membership meeting on June 20.

            Voting Online
Online voting is available through a secure external web site established by ESC specifically for the 2009 PEC Board election. Candidates' names and biographies also are available on this site. You'll need the personal voting identification code included in your ballot packet before voting can be completed. Visit the PEC’s Online Voting Site to vote online. Online voting ends this Friday, June 12, 2009, at 11:59 p.m.

            Voting by Mail
Mark the ballot included in the packet you received from the PEC around May 6 and return it using the prepaid envelope. Mailed ballots must be postmarked by this Friday, June 12, 2009. Your ballot will go directly to ESC, so ballots will not be accepted at PEC offices.
