Mark:
The Agenda is published on the PEC WEB page. Pending proposals are included
in the attachments. My letter is aimed at ANY new rules or appointments
this "lame duck" Board
might be considering.
Do you not agree that it would be a disservice to the new Board if the
outgoing Board attempts to saddle them and limit their options by imposing
last minute rules and appointments?
Carlos

An Open Letter To
Departing Members of the PEC Board:
Even if you sincerely believed the PEC's former manager was acting in good
faith and could be trusted, you allowed yourself to be hoodwinked for too
many years. That's why, at best, you'll be remembered as ineffectual Board
members.
You're being vindictive, now, though, if you impose ill-advised rules on PEC
member/owners and new Board members just as you exit the PEC.
Maybe your reputation is tarnished only because you placed your trust in
people who obviously did not deserve that trust. But if you tarnish it
further by taking a last swipe at the PEC, its member/owners and its new
Board, you cannot point the finger at anyone other than yourselves.
As you leave, please restrain any mean-spirited impulses. Don't try to
shackle the new board members with last minute new rules and new
appointments. Just offer the new PEC Board your friendly recommendations
and good wishes for success, and try to depart with a measure of grace and
style.
