Dear Alfred: I would really like to know exactly how many small users that PEC has.
You are paying 33.5 cents per KWH because you only use 158 KWH per month. With the new schedule in place you will pay more. Now, if you were using more than 1000 kwh, you would be paying a little less per month.
Do you have any idea of what the consultants have charged and are charging for this dandy idea .
Well, you are not in as bad a shape as one client of PEC. He uses one KWH per month and he pays the $20.00 meter charge plus eleven cents, a total of $20,11 per month.
OK, I can see PEC charging a minimum of something like $10.00 for the meter fee for folks that use less than 500 kwh.
Most any plan that would encourage conservation and keeps the lights on for a lot of the small users would be acceptable. This plan of Guernsey-PEC is flawed and is absolutely un-acceptable.
If this Fuelburg Board shoves this plan thru, we will simply have to change it in like June this year.
I will be there in the front row of Monday's meeting. You may not have heard when Juan Garza promised me personally that the rates were going to be cheaper.
I will certainly be speaking, my lousy three minutes every month, trying to convince the old appointed Board that they are History , but for a few weeks and they best leave this rate change for the new, Improved, elected Board.
Sincerely, H. P. Langston
