Milton, I have sent E-Mails and letters to Wilson, Nichols, White and to Judge Mills.
I plan to be at the hearing in Johnson City on the 14th with copies of my letters in my hand. This was the recommendation of Mr. Quinn Wilson. Let's all show up and to let Bennie know we want some justice. If we don't show, I am sure that Bennies chorus of weeping and gnashing of teeth will carry the day.

Regards, Paul Langston 830-598-1322

  Fellow Owner-Members of the Cooperative:

A number of people have worked long and hard on our behalf to bring a measure of reform to PEC. And some progress has been made.

Now, with the sentencing of Bennie Fuelberg on January 14th, we can bring to a fitting close one chapter in the struggle to regain control of our cooperative.

Judge Mills has directed Quinn Wilson, an adult probation officer in Llano, to prepare a pre-sentencing report. Mr. Wilson has been contacted and is willing to accept statements from PEC's owner-members.

Now the time has come for you, if you wish, to speak your piece, to play your part. Nobody else can do this for you.

You'll find e-mail addresses, regular mail addresses, and other contact information below. Mr. Wilson will be closing his report several days before the sentencing date, so you should send anything you write to him within the next week or two.

Thanks for considering this information. (I know that many of you will have already sent your messages.)

And if you can, plan to attend the court proceeding on the 14th (10:30 at the Blanco County Courthouse, Johnson City).

  Milton

  Friends,

Ernest Altgelt and others have learned that one approach to possibly affect the sentencing of Bennie Fuelberg is to write Quinn Wilson, who is preparing a pre-sentencing report for Judge Mills. Your letter can be addressed to Judge Mills or Mr. Quinn and can make your case for whatever sentence you think is appropriate and within the judge's power to pronounce.

The jury determined punishment of probation and a fine of $30,000. I believe the judge can order jail time as well, perhaps up to 180 days. He can also order restitution.

I should think that personal experience is the best basis for one's case, stressing what Fuelberg has done, and not done, during the period one has been a member, that has harmed the cooperative and its employees and owner-members. (Having to pay bills higher than they otherwise would have been is a common result of his excesses, to mention only one harm we all have experienced.)

It is also important that we have as many owner-members as possible in the courtroom on the 14th of January for the proceeding. Start making your plans and encouraging your neighbors and friends to save the date: Friday, 14 January, at 10:30, in Johnson City.

  Quinn Wilson's contact information follows:

  Quinn Wilson
  Llano County Adult Probation
  2001 N State Highway 16
  Llano, Texas 78643-1036

  Telephone: 325-247-5148
  E-mail: llcscd at moment.net

I personally plan to copy the state's prosecutors, the PEC Board president, and PEC's acting general manager and acting general counsel, whom the Board has charged with the duty of preparing for the cooperative a victim impact statement to be presented to Judge Mills. Those addresses follow:

  Eric Nichols: eric.nichols at oag.state.tx.us
  Harry White: harry.white at oag.state.tx.us

  Larry Landaker: larry.landaker at gmail.com
  Luis Garcia: luis.garcia at peci.com
