[Watchdogs] PEC skullduggery

If Machiavelli were around, he’d probably take the secretive actions of our current PEC Board in stride, but we should not.  Our Board members (and some of their strong supporters) apparently have decided their ends are so noble, those ends fully justify the means.  With the old Board, the end objective was personal gain for a few at the expense of PEC member/owners.  Now, it appears the end objective is a rush to green power with no opportunity for PEC member/owners to discuss and debate the issue, even though it will probably be at considerable expense to the member/owners.  The trouble with this approach is this: there is not a dime’s worth of difference between the means used by the old gang and the means used by our new gang.  In either case, the means rests upon secrecy and duplicity.  We deserve better!
If more green power at the PEC is justified, it’s time for our Board members to develop good arguments and find enough backbone to face the member/owners with those arguments and persuasion.  It’s time for the Board members to make the case to the member/owners they supposedly represent and call upon the majority to decide, instead of trying to make a devious end-run around them
